Authors: Ahmad, Sartaj
Abstract: Most of us fail to comprehend why somebody would be interested in undertaking homosexual activity.
In the present study, we tried to conclude some causes of such altered type of sexual behavior. Illiteracy,
poor socioeconomic status and ignorance about the law may be considered as some of the factors which
encouraged the accused to commit such crime. In all cases, the victim and the accused were known to each
other to a variable extent indicating that the victim falls prey to the accused because he was not aware of his
intentions.

Authors: Khan, Bilal; Sankhala, Kalpana; Sukla, Arvind K; Ahmad, Sartaj; Khan, Amir
Abstract: The study was aimed to compare biochemical changes in stored blood in CPDA-1 containing blood
bags, in relation to different time periods ranging from 1 to 35 days. The present study was conducted
at Blood Bank of NIMS Hospital, Jaipur to determine the biochemical changes in stored blood at 4-6°C
in fifty CPDA-1 containing blood bags.
All blood donors were male, voluntary or replacement and were tested negative for HIV 1&2, HCV,
HbsAg, Syphilis and Malaria. Biochemical parameters are measured by Trivitron fully auto analyzer.
Electrolytes are measured by fully auto analyzer ISE 3000 made in France. All biochemical parameters
showed significant changes. There was reduction in glucose and sodium levels, while on comparing
other biochemical parameters from day 1 to day 35, there was marked increase in levels of calcium
from 8.11 to 15.3 mg/dl, phosphorous from 7.8 to 15.7, potassium from 4 to 25.3, chloride from 81.9
to 98.9 mg/dl, total protein from 5.2 to 8.2 gm/dl and albumin from 2.5 to 5.7 gm/dl. Therefore old
blood should not be used for the treatment of anemia

Abstract: Male to male sex have existed in India for thousands of years. This is evident from the temple carvings
in Konark and Khajarao (950-1050 AD) that depict homosexuality from ancient times. AIDS prevalence
among young MSM people is a challenging illness caused by the HIV virus, which weakens the immune
system and leads to death through secondary infections.

Authors: Ahamd, Sartaj; Shukla, Arvindra Kumar; Bhavna Pant
Abstract: Abdomen pain is a medical emergency, in which there is sudden and severe pain in abdomen of recent
onset with accompanying signs and symptoms that focus on an abdominal involvement. It can represent a
wide spectrum of conditions, ranging from a benign and self-limiting disease to a surgical emergency. The
integrated imaging, and in particular the use of ultrasonography has revolutionized the clinical approach
to this condition, simplifying the diagnosis but burdening the radiologists with the problems related to
the clinical management. A paediatric abdominal ultrasound is an examination of the abdomen with an
ultrasound machine that uses sound waves to form images of different organs within the child’s body.
Abdominal ultrasound studies are most commonly performed to investigate the causes of abdominal pain or
whether there is a mass of tissue or “lump”.
