The present era is the age of Information, Science and Technology. The Science ar technology has driven and is driving every country from ancient to modem stage oi developments by leading them towards discoveries and innovations every year. In the presan paper we are discussing of curent trend and future challenges of social media and social networking in the libraries. Social media is usually implemental by students in their personal lives. In present context, many social networking tools are available that facilitate a gear opportunity to comect the people though online which are Facebooh Twiteer, Youtube, Lis link, Myspace, Blogger.com, Fliker, google Buzz etc. This study clears that libraries can trse social networking tools to share materials and what are the future challenges can be faced b1 libraries for the implementation ofsocial networking softwares.
